Meet “The Early One”. Tempranillo takes its name from the Spanish word temprano, meaning early, because it ripens before every other red in the vineyard. The grape behind Rioja finds a fresh Australian voice in our cool climate single vineyard expression: medium-bodied, food-first and made for the table.
The Tempranillo was harvested at optimal ripeness, living up to its name as the first red off the vine, to capture the variety’s bright fruit and natural spice.
This wine follows in the footsteps of our Gold Medal-winning 2021 Tempranillo, recognised in Tokyo at the Sakura Wine Awards alongside wines from Rioja and Bordeaux.
Crafted to let the variety speak for itself. The just-right red for those who find Shiraz too big and Pinot too light.
Tasting Notes
- Dark ruby red in the glass.
